Fenty Town Meeting
Hizzoner-elect Fenty is holding a town meeting for each ward. The meeting for Ward 2 is scheduled for December 7 at 6:30 at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 1401 7th St, NW. Your chance to get your 2 cents in before he takes office.

Mr Fenty needs to break down for the masses what he plans to do about keeping some sort of effective curfew in place for our community since that seemed to be extrememly popular among those who attended Jack Evans' well conducted crime meeting a few months ago.
I'd also like to know why M Street can get speed bumps but streets around the Scott Montgomery Elementary School -- with so many of the under 3 foot crowd -- cannot.
as i went door to door on the west side of the 1300 block of 5th street nw i asked citizens about speed humps and everybody i talked with said they would welcome speed humps on that block of 5th st. nw
Let's think bigger. I would like to wipe out the patronage system in DC. Let's start with those special three-digit license plates. You know, the ones which indicate that you have friends in high places and indicate to the police and the parking patrols "Don't f*** with me". It is so third world to have such a thing. Everybody should be treated the same.
The entire service delivery system needs TQM(total quality management)as it applys to fire, emergency, public safety and other city services.
And the Ward 2 democrats have resurfaced after their humiliating fiasco in backing Linda Cropp for Mayor. They are sponsoring some crime summit at Foundry.
